I received my B.A. in Microbiology and Cell/Molecular Biology from Oklahoma State University in 2024. During my time as an undergraduate, I developed a greater interest in learning how bacteria compete with one another, particularly the bacterial interactions occurring in humans. Currently my work is focused on Dolosigranulum pigrum, a Gram-positive lactic acid bacterium that acts as a mutualist in human nasal passages. In my free time I enjoy reading, baking, and playing video games. Research interests: microbe-microbe interactions, natural products, secondary metabolites, nasal microbiome, Dolosigranulum pigrum, biosynthetic gene clusters, RiPPs
