Hi, my name is Niladri Bhowmik, and I am a Ph.D. student in the Stubbendieck lab. I earned my bachelor’s degree (B.Tech.) in Biotechnology from Heritage Institute of Technology, India, and my M.S. degree in Biological Sciences from The University of Southern Mississippi, USA. My M.S. project was about the root microbiome and their variations in different cultivars of blueberry. During my Masters, I developed an interest in studying human microbiome and the impact of secondary metabolites on the microbiome composition. Currently, I will be working on the microbial interactions in Cystic Fibrosis microbiomes. I am really excited to have joined this lab. Apart from research, I enjoy reading books, singing, and watching sports.
