Hi, I am Amrin. During my undergraduate studies, I developed a strong interest in microbial secondary metabolites and became particularly fascinated by their diverse biological functions and potential applications. Currently, my research focuses on Dolosigranulum pigrum, a Gram-positive lactic acid bacterium that acts as a mutualist in the human nasal microbiome. I am particularly interested in understanding how this bacterium interacts with other members of the microbial community and how its metabolic activities contribute to these interactions. Beyond research, I am a curious person who loves learning new things, experiencing different cultures, and exploring the world. One of my personal goals is to travel widely and explore as much of the world as I can.
