This year Reed presented a talk titled “Differential Metabolite Production Underlies Disruption of the Cystic Fibrosis Airway Microbiota by Pathogens” at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the American Society for Pharmacognosy (ASP) in Denver, CO. This poster covered research performed by Sydney, focusing on how antagonistic interactions mediated by metabolites produced by cystic fibrosis pathogens disrupt the airway microbiome and contribute to disease.
This was the second time our laboratory attended ASP (see here for our last visit). It was an honor to be invited to give a talk on Sydney’s fantastic work. Had a great meeting up with old friends and making new friends in the natural products field.
